“A free, friendly meeting place for people with memory problems; their carers; families and friends.”
Silverton Memory Cafe is an informal, social space where anyone can go for advice and support about living with the challenges of memory loss.
A well established volunteer led group, Silverton Memory Cafe currently supports many local people living with the early stages of dementia. Research has shown that by creating a space to talk; share knowledge and information in a safe and friendly environment, carers are able to better understand what’s happening whilst at the same time offering support to the individual experiencing memory challenges. Our Memory Cafe was set up in June 2016 and provides information enabling individuals to connect with local health professionals in a neutral setting. On occasion, members of the Health Care Team may give a talk or advise on a particular aspect of memory loss. |
Silverton Memory CafeSilverton Memory Cafe is held from 2.00PM - 4.00PM every Thursday at the Millenium Hall in Silverton Community Hall.
